It’s that time of year again! We apologize for the delay, but the 34th annual Muskoka Paramedics Softball Tournament is just on the horizon.
This year’s tournament will again take place in Huntsville, Ontario at the McCulley-Robertson Ball Diamonds (view on a Google map) on Saturday May 25th and Sunday 26th, 2019.
PARTY LOCATION: Active Living Center – 7 Camp Kitchen Rd, Huntsville (view on a Google map)
If you need to contact the tournament organizing committee they can be reached by e-mail at muskokaballtournament@gmail.com.
The entry fee for the 2019 tournament will be $550.00. There will be a $25.00 administration fee for all cancellations and a $25.00 fee for any NSF cheques. The tournament organizers will be supplying the softballs, all teams supply their own batting equipment.
Please hold off on sending your payment until you receive an e-mail stating that your team has been approved. You will be provided details in that e-mail on where to send payment.
Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. So get your entry in ASAP to avoid disappointment. Your registration is not confirmed until we receive payment. No team, new or old, have a guaranteed position in our tournament.
2019 will be a bit of a re-branding year for the tournament. The charity of choice will be the Ontario Paramedic Memorial Monument Foundation (OPMMF).
Unfortunately, our 2018 tournament’s fundraising goals amounted to only $90 after all was said and done. This was largely due to poor alcohol and sales at the ball diamonds during daytime hours. We are by no means encouraging mass alcohol consumption over the course of the weekend. However, if you choose to consume alcohol at the tournament grounds, please do so by purchasing it from the concession stand. Doing so will be a direct contribution to the charity.
**Bringing in outside alcohol or, consuming alcohol in the parking lot may result in the team’s removal from the tournament and/or not being welcomed back to the tournament in 2020. Furthermore, any liquor licence violations brought forth against the organizers of the tournament may result in the cancellation of future tournaments.
We are really excited to see you all soon and can’t wait to PLAY BALL!
